An experienced intelligence officer is required to work in The Inkerman Group’s well-established Political Risk team. The role will research, analyse and collate information and intelligence on a range of subjects and issues, including societal analysis on environmental, social, political and financial risk as well as due diligence and investigations research where required. The ability to prepare reports and information for clients, together with developing and maintaining the required processes and databases is essential. Applicants must be articulate with excellent written presentation and IT skills, and be educated to degree level. Degrees in International Relations, International History, Criminology, Politics, Philosophy, Economics (PPE), Psychology and Theology / Cultural Diversity at least at 2:1 Hons level for the undergraduate degree and / or Master’s Degree is preferred.
A minimum of three years’ previous experience in a similar role working for clients to identify threats and provide analysis, as well as reporting on civil unrest and activism is required as is an ability in a second language in addition to fluency in English, particularly German. Whilst this position will be predominantly based at the Company’s Headquarters in Ashford Kent, it will also involve extensive contact with and delivery to the Company’s German client base so travelling to and working in the office based in Meerbusch (Dusseldorf) Germany will also be required on an ongoing basis. A strong ability in the German language is therefore a distinct advantage for this role; in addition, it is ideally suited to individuals who are adaptable, have a flexible “can do” attitude and are team players.
